YEREVAN. – Numerous monuments in Yerevan were washed within the framework of Yerevan Day celebrations, on Saturday.

Volunteers from the Youth Affairs Council adjunct to the Mayor of Yerevan as well as many other volunteers traveled along the streets and parks of the capital city of Armenia, and washed monuments, informed the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter.

Squads from the Yerevan Rescue Department as well as fire and rescue workers also assisted in these activities.

The 2798th anniversary of Yerevan is celebrated on this day, and under the title, “City of the Sun.”
