The Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan, who is on a working visit to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh), on Saturday visited military positions together with his NKR counterpart Arayik Harutyunyan. There they got familiarized with the process of technical re-equipment, the Government press-service informs Armenian News – NEWS.am.
Along with the Defense Army Commander Levon Mnatsakanyan, they also visited one of the armored troops military units, where a training with tank subunits was presented.
The premiers of the two Armenian states afterwards visited military bases. At the frontline they got familiarized both with the social and household conditions of the staff carrying out military watch and the course of technical re-equipment and engineering work in the military positions. It was reported to the premiers that serious steps have been taken on the contact line to make the adversary’s actions more foreseeable.
PM Karapetyan stressed the circumstance that the intensive work carried out at the frontline makes the service of the soldiers carrying out military watch more secure. The Armenian and Karabakh PMs talked on different issues with both contract soldiers and officer staff.
The Armenian PM underscored the importance of the mission of the soldiers carrying out military watch as well as that of the army in terms of ensuring the security of the Armenian people. He also noted that large volume of work has been carried out in the area of army-building in the period following the April war.
At the same time, Karapetyan and Harutyunyan assured that the work carried out at the frontline will actively continue.
