YEREVAN. – The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia will fight against corruption, on Monday said Vardan Harutyunyan, its recently appointed chairman, in the National Assembly.

And when asked how exactly he will combat against corruption in the country, he responded: “I will fight [against it] just like that. Each tax inspector [in the country] shall grasp and visualize the problems in his division. And if there are shady business risks somewhere, I need to know about it.”

“Why? Because this is what the interest of the country demands,” added the new SRC chief. “In this sense, we are the shareholders of businesses, the ones that express their interests, on behalf of the state.”
