YEREVAN. - Accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) creates wide opportunities for Armenia.
Minister of Economic Growth and Investments of Armenia, Suren Karayan, told the aforementioned to the journalists in the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia Monday.
In his words, great part of Armenian production is exported to the EAEU market. “If we analyze the main macroeconomic indexes of Armenia and other neighboring countries, which have not joined the EAEU, we can make sure how positively the accession to the EAEU impacted the Armenian economy,” Karayan stressed.
During the upcoming 1-2 weeks a new investment fund will be established in Armenia, which will stimulate investments in the country through its financial tools. “The fund will be established on the basis of cooperation between the state and private sector. In the future it is planned to make it private,” Karayan added.
