YEREVAN. - Is it bad that we are developing the Gyumri airport?
Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia, Vahan Martirosyan, told the aforementioned to journalists in the National Assembly (NA) Monday.
According to the Minister, the airport in Armenia’s second largest city provides better conditions than the one in Yerevan. “It has no 10,000 AMD departure tax and other payments. Is it bad that we are developing the Gyurmi airport?” Martirosyan said.
According to an agreement, starting from the end of November, Pobeda Airlines, a Russian low-coster, will carry out flights from Moscow to Gyumri and backward. The company will operate three flights a week from Gyurmi’s Shirak airport to Moscow’s Vnukovo airport. The flights will be in daytime, the price for tickets starting from 10,000 AMD.
