YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Thursday stated that he didn't welcome Gagik Tsarukyan's return to political field.
''A few, literally a few words on other recent issues of interest, including Gagik Tsarukyan's return to political field and formation of alliances. I will be very short: I didn't welcome Gagik Tsarukyan's return to the political field. As to the formation of alliances or the participation of different political forces in the electoral struggle, as I said, I consider this a positive phenomenon,'' Sarsgayn said, speaking at the session of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Board.
In his words, the other question was more than funny. ''The attempts made by people to show that the RPA has an outflow of cadres are merely ridiculous. What can I say? You know yourself that this is nonesense. Over 11,000 people have joined our party over the last several months alone. I would like to speak about this topic allegorically. You know, full-flowing rivers ensure the flow all along the stream, giving life, bread and water, while the runlets, which tear off the full-flowing river and don't return to it in a short period, dry up and disappear. This is the law of nature and none of us can resist the laws of nature. We can try to manage and regulate, but this is the way to happen,'' Sargsyan said.
