The Armenian community of Washington organized a protest action outside the Azerbaijani embassy in connection with the 30th anniversary of the Sumgait pogroms.
The demonstrators called to recognize and put an end to the murders of innocent civilians, the Voice of America reported.
The protesters addressed not only to Azerbaijan, but also the US, said the Executive Director of the Armenian National Committee of America.
The Armenians tell the US government to get it on the right side, he added.
