YEREVAN. – There is no such a notion as political vendetta in the Armenian Criminal Code, Armenia's National Security Service director Artur Vanetsyan told reporters on Sunday.

His remark came in response to comment on Armenian ex-President’s statement, that his arrest is a political vendetta.

“The Criminal Code contains clear articles for which Robert Kocharyan is accused. The investigative body has filed charges, the court will put everything in its place,” he said.

As reported earlier, on December 7, the Court of Appeal upheld the verdict of the first instance for Kocharyan’s arrest. On the same day, Robert Kocharyan went to National Security Service on his own without waiting for court’s decision.
