YEREVAN.- Ex-President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan did not leave active politics, there is no change in the leadership of the Republican Party of Armenia, the RPA press secretary Edward Sharmazanov told journalists on Friday.

“Serzh Sargsyan is our leader. We elected him at the convention. He still has a lot of work to do, ”said Sharmazanov. When asked whether Sargsyan , under whose chairmanship today's meeting of the executive body was held, intends to return to active politics, Eduard Sharmazanov replied that Sargsyan had not left it. “If active politics is only communication with the media, then many low-class leaders should now have become  UN Secretary-Generals,” Sharmazanov said.

He also said that the next RPA convention will be held next year, and there is no talk about an extraordinary convention.
