YEREVAN. – A $67,212 grant agreement on an education-experimental greenhouse reconstruction project to train highly-qualified cultivators was signed at the Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia.

The document was signed by Japanese Ambassador Jun Yamada, and International Center for Agribusiness Research and Education (ICARE) Director Arthur Grigorian.

The project is funded by the Japanese embassy in Armenia.

Its objective is to transform the old greenhouse of the Armenian National Agrarian University into a modern education-experimental greenhouse.

Japanese Ambassador Yamada stressed the importance of this project, and pointed to the crucial role of agriculture in Armenia’s economy. He added that this project fully complies with the Armenian government’s strategy and will greatly contribute to the development of agricultural potential of the country.
