YEREVAN.- The statement of the Azerbaijani authorities on humanitarian cooperation probably concerns an Armenian, who is sentenced to 20 years in jail in Azerbaijan, Giro Manoyan, head of the Political Affairs Bureau and the Armenian Cause Office of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun Party of Armenia, stated this while commenting on Friday’s formal meeting in Vienna, between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

According to him, the Armenian may be released or exchanged, perhaps it is about something like that, and not about actions of a larger scale.

Commenting on the fact that both sides positively assessed the meeting, Giro Manoyan noted: “Yes, positive, but the confirmation by the Prime Minister of Armenia that there is no revolution in the negotiation process, there is no breakthrough, indicates that, in fact, even if both of them spoke about it during a private talk, there is no progress. ”
he first official meeting of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev took place on March 29. The previous three meetings held in Davos, St. Petersburg and Moscow were informal. They assessed the meeting as positive one.

In their statement, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs confirmed that the meeting was held in a positive and constructive atmosphere.
