The deputy healthcare minister was arrested at the moment of receiving the bribe, and the investigation will show the rest. This is what Director of the National Security Service of Armenia Artur Vanetsyan told journalists following the April 4 government session.

According to him, a signature to not leave the country has been selected as a preventive measure for the briber. “He has been charged, but taking into consideration the briber’s age and health condition, custody hasn’t been selected as a preventive measure,” he said.

When asked if the briber had initially reported about the bribe, Vanetsyan said the following: “If he had told us that he was going to give a bribe, he wouldn’t be charged and would be relieved from liability.”
