There are certain deputies who are clueless and became deputies thanks to Nikol Pashinyan, Sasun Mikayelyan, Ararat Mirzoyan and two others. If it weren’t for them, those deputies wouldn’t be able to garner the 100 votes that they’re talking about now. This is what leader of Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan told journalists at the National Assembly on 16 April.
When told that people also say that Prosperous Armenia Party’s deputies also couldn’t garner votes without Tsarukyan, Tsarukyan said the following: “Our party might also have such deputies, but the important thing is that they are all good listeners. We hold discussions on various issues before we come to parliament.”
When asked if Prosperous Armenia Party was more democratic than My Step Alliance, Tsarukyan told the journalists they were asking provocative questions and that even though the people believed in the promises made during the revolution and made a revolution, the promises need to be fulfilled and people need to see changes.
