One person has died after an elevator accident Saturday in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.
At 6:30pm, the 911 emergency hotline received a call that the cable of a Yerevan building elevator had snapped, there were injured, and rescuers were needed.
A rescue squad, psychological counseling instructor, and a firefighting crew were dispatched to the scene.
It was found out the cable of the freight elevator of a two-story restaurant complex had snapped, the elevator had fallen about 12 meters, and A. M. (born in 1960) and E. T. (born in 1974) were inside this elevator.
They were taken to a hospital.
And Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the news service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations that at 11pm, the aforesaid hospital informed that E. T. had died in the hospital, while the other injured was in very critical condition.
