I believe a phenomenon that can’t be managed by people is risky. This is what deputy of the My Step faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Sofya Hovsepyan told journalists today as she touched upon the issue of exploitation of the Amulsar gold mine.

“If there is 0.001% risk, even in the case of an earthquake, winds or something like that, my position is clear — even if one person is at risk of being poisoned, my position will remain unchanged,” she stated.

According to the deputy, members of the My Step faction expressed their opinions on the Amulsar gold mine exploitation during today’s session, but there are no developments since the deputies agreed that they have to wait for the government’s actions and the response of the Ministry of Environment.

Sofya Hovsepyan stressed the fact that the members of the faction have differing views on the exploitation of the Amulsar gold mine, but there is no discord or schism within the faction.
