During our meeting, President of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) Bako Sahakyan and I had the opportunity to assess our future actions and activities in regard to the Artsakh issue, which is a major pan-national issue. This is what Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan told journalists today.

When told that in his recent interview Nikol Pashinyan had declared that there are issues on which the authorities of Armenia and Artsakh have disagreements and that the best way to settle those disagreements are the upcoming elections, Mnatsakanyan said the following: “In our sphere, we coordinate and synthesize our approaches with the government of Artsakh very extensively in order to advance our agenda that concerns the peace process. We have goals, know the paths to take to achieve them and have different ideas, and this is natural. We don’t have profound disagreements on our strategic approaches to the Artsakh issue.”

The foreign minister stated that the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan are scheduled to meet “in a not too distant future”.
