Nobody in Armenia or particularly in Yerevan has to ask me or provide me with services in order for me to garner votes. This is what Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan told journalists today, responding to the comment that he is linked to “thieves-in-law” and there are even rumors that they helped him during the elections.
“When you say there are rumors, can you state another case besides the one that the former head of the State Oversight Service declared? I have already said that I don’t know those people and that I’m going to vote in favor of the law on "thieves-in-law". Nobody in Armenia or particularly in Yerevan has to ask me or provide me with services in order for me to garner votes,” he said.
