YEREVAN. – The car importers protesting against moving the customs clearance office from Yerevan to Gyumri gathered near the Armenian government’s building on Friday afternoon.
The customs clearance office started its full operation in Gyumri on November 25.
The exemption granted to Armenia when becoming Eurasian Economic Union member in 2014 expires on January 1, 2020, and therefore car customs clearance duties will rise several times in the country.
