President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian today had a meeting with head of the My Step faction of the National Assembly of Armenia and a group of members of the faction. The meeting was part of the year-end meetings of the President, who recently met with deputies of the Bright Armenia faction and is expected to meet with members of the Prosperous Armenia factions soon.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues on making the cooperation between the presidential and parliamentary institutions stronger and making the cooperation become institutional and touched upon the faction’s activities and legislative initiatives.

President Sarkissian provided information about several presidential initiatives, particularly the large international events to be held in Armenia next year, including the Armenian Summit of Minds, the 6th STARMUS Festival and the ATOM (Advanced Tomorrow) initiative for the development of science and technology in Armenia. Sarkissian attached importance to the parliament’s active involvement in all of these initiatives.
