YEREVAN. – Officers of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) have prevented an attempt to smuggle drugs via Armenia.
They searched a parcel being sent to Australia on behalf of an Iranian citizen via Armenia’s border, the SRC informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. As a result, it was found that the sponges of the two baby mattresses were infused with opium.
A criminal case has been launched into this incident.
