YEREVAN. – Police search continues in the house of Aram Vardanyan, who is known as a Yerevan neighborhood “authority.” The Erebuni district police chief is present, too, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports this from the scene.

The red berets are overseeing the two entrances to Vardanyan's house.

Investigators conducting the search at the house have presented the search warrant to Vardanyan's lawyers, Lusine Sahakyan and Yervand Varosyan, who are also at the scene.

Around 2:40am, hundreds of police officers entered the houses of Aram Vardanyan and his relatives at the same address. As a result, Aram Vardanyan's son and two others were apprehended and two more were detained, one of whom is Vardanyan's nephew and the other—a neighbor.
