Citizens of Armenia don’t have to love the political opposition. The most important thing is to trust the opposition. This is what leader of Bright Armenia Party and head of the political party’s faction Edmon Marukyan said during a briefing at the National Assembly.

He particularly recalled the words of member of the Russian opposition Boris Nemtsov and added that people need to love their friends and relatives, not a certain political party. “People don’t have to love or hate the government. They can simply trust or distrust the government. These days, when people love a person, they turn that person into a hero, and then those same people turn their idols into traitors,” Marukyan said and called on everyone to be reasonable.
