The activities of Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and the campaign he is participating in are clearly distinguished. This is what deputy of the ruling My Step Alliance of the National Assembly Suren Grigoryan told reporters during a briefing today, commenting on the criticism of representatives of the NO campaign headquarters who had expressed discontent with the fact that the Prime Minister breached the law and started campaigning for YES to the constitutional amendments while he was getting acquainted with the road repair works during a visit to Lori Province.

According to the MP, Pashinyan was participating in the campaign as “a private individual”, not as the Prime Minister. “The fact that we know that that individual is the Prime Minister, doesn’t mean that he always acts as head of government. The law on referendum prescribes that public servants may not campaign while performing their duties,” Grigoryan clarified and considered the criticism 'artificial and groundless'.
