YEREVAN. – On March 15, about 100 people will arrive in Armenia from Italy. Zareh Sinanyan, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia, said this in a conversation with reporters outside the government building, adding that these persons were Armenian citizens.

"These are people to whom Armenia has obligations," he said. “But there are Armenians who are not Armenian citizens but want to come to Armenia from Iran. We are trying to find a format to help such people. Naturally, it is difficult because they are not [Armenian] citizens. There are 3-4 such people; they say, 'We want to be in Armenia.'

But of course, first of all, we have obligations to our [own] citizens; that is indisputable. But we have moral obligations for Armenians by nationality who are not Armenian citizens."

Sinanyan added that the meeting of the commission on preventing the spread of coronavirus was heated.
