We know that the phrase ‘smoking is harmful to health’ is always written on cigarette packs, but the past two years showed that the My Step Alliance is much more harmful to the health of citizens of Armenia than smoking cigarettes. This is what ex-director of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund Ara Vardanyan told reporters today.
“All the problems with the coronavirus show that the government has failed and that government officials contradict each other. I don’t understand the reason why the Commandant’s Office was established, if the Commandant, the Prime Minister and the health minister are contradicting each other with their statements. The Prime Minister set up the Commandant’s Office, but it seems as though he is the Commandant, and I have no doubt that, in the end, he might have to punish someone and that someone will be the Commandant,” he said.
Vardanyan touched upon the comment that Torosyan posted on his Facebook page yesterday, calling on doctors to unite as one. “I believe this is one of the special moments when the Armenian people have to truly appreciate the job that doctors do, government officials have to forget all the bonuses that they receive and gear them towards the healthcare sector and award doctors who work day and night. I believe it’s time to set up a medical committee and engage the most remarkable doctors of the country to consider the situation on a daily basis and provide situational solutions,” he said.
