Armenian health minister Arsen Torosyan said the number of COVID-19 patients in an extremely serious and serious condition ranges within 500.

"As of yesterday, the number of patients in an extremely serious condition was approximately 100, the number of patients in a serious condition was about 420. This figure has not been lowering in recent days, it ranges within 500," he said.

According to him, the mortality rate of patients in critical condition is 70%.

"We have about 90% mortality in terms of those connected to mechanical ventilation devices. Accompanying diseases became the cause of death of young people," the minister added.
