YEREVAN. – The National Assembly on Friday convened a special sitting in connection with the government's decision to extend the state of emergency in Armenia due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier in the day, the government held a special session during which it was decided to extend the state of emergency for 30 days—until July 13, at 5pm.
As per the law, this decision needs to be debated on at a special sitting of the parliament.
