The decision to extend the state of emergency in Armenia for another month is due to the fact that the coronavirus pandemic is still spreading in the country, said PM Nikol Pashinyan on Friday at the parliament's meeting.

The PM presented some facts and figures on COVID-19. Thus, the number of confirmed cases in Armenia exceeded 15 thousand.

"One hundred people are in critical condition, hospitals are overcrowded, and 204 out of 239 beds of intensive care units are occupied," he noted.

According to the PM, now they continue to expand the number of beds, but the situation remains critical.
