Hundreds of supporters have gathered near the mansion of opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader, MP, and business tycoon Gagik Tsarukyan.

Ashot Andreasyan, chairman of the PAP Youth Union, told reporters that those gathered were not only party members but also other citizens who came to support Tsarukyan because they are sure that what is happening is political persecution.

The Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reported from the scene that police forces, particularly the red berets, have arrived near the mansion.
