This moment today is fabricated, it is political, they want to put pressure, blackmail, and intimidate. Opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader, MP, and business tycoon Gagik Tsarukyan said this Sunday, in a conversation with journalists, after the search in his mansion.

"But today, as Gagik Tsarukyan, I would be an immoral person’s son if I were to back down. Dear people, they want to frame me [for something], I’m innocent, I’m ready for everything. That trust [in me by the people] has been there since ancient times—since [20]15. They [the authorities] offered everything, I have not agreed. And they have offered today, too; I have not agreed. Most importantly, whoever has made a promise, has made a commitment, has to fulfill [it]," Tsarukyan added.
