Every day today is to the detriment of the people, the state—foreign policy, domestic policy, social and healthcare issues, the epidemic. The government has failed in all directions. Opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader, MP, and business tycoon Gagik Tsarukyan said this Sunday, in a conversation with journalists, after the search in his mansion.
"Dear citizens, the [COVID-19] epidemic has been spreading since December. I said in March, I don't appreciate the work [done by the Armenian authorities to fight against it]. Until today, there are no hospitals in the provinces, the provincial centers, to check people, conduct tests. (...). Most of the people [in Armenia] are infected [with this disease], they have to test everyone, but they neither have test kits nor take a step. Three hundred to 400 thousand people are unemployed [in Armenia]; there will be a famine [in the country] in three months," he added, reiterating that that a political persecution was being carried out against him.
Tsarukyan informed that now he was going to the National Security Service for questioning.
