YEREVAN. – The participants in yesterday’s protest were also Tsarukyan's employees. Information was disseminated about at least two facilities belonging to him that they were calling for the [Casino] Shangri La accountants to arrive quickly, and it was also written that the Arinj Mall's employees were also being brought there. Alen Simonyan, National Assembly Vice Speaker and member of the majority My Step faction in parliament, stated this in a talk with journalists in the legislature Monday, regarding Sunday’s demonstrations in support of parliamentary opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader, MP, and business tycoon Gagik Tsarukyan.

"We also saw PAP MPs, their assistants, bodyguards, and a dozen assistance staff [there]," he added.

And asked whether the authorities were concerned that in case of stripping Tsarukyan of parliamentary immunity, his supporters will take to the streets, Simonyan responded. "The citizen of the Republic of Armenia has delegated to us the application of the laws of the Republic of Armenia, and that will happen regardless of who will take refuge in political texts and present himself as a politician."
