YEREVAN. – Police forces, a large number of police vehicles—including water cannons—are located in front of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia.
To note, the NA on Tuesday will vote on the prosecutor general’s petition to strip parliamentary opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader, MP, and business tycoon Gagik Tsarukyan of his parliamentary immunity.
A group of Tsarukyan supporters also have gathered outside the parliament, and the police just recently apprehended some of them.
Now the police have formed a human wall in front of the gates of the National Assembly.
