The probe committee must discuss all the issues related to prevention of the spread of the coronavirus, the social, economic, health-related, political, conspiratorial and informational issues and the restrictions on rights during the fight against the coronavirus. This is what head of the Bright Armenia faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Edmon Marukyan told reporters today.

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan has declared that the committee for probe into coronavirus-related issues must also investigate the dissemination of misinformation related to the coronavirus.

When asked about his attitude towards the fact that the initiative to set up a probe committee for the coronavirus has been undertaken by a party, the deputy and head of faction of which refuse to wear face masks, Marukyan said the following: “I believe every political party has the constitutional right to undertake such an initiative. As far as wearing a face mask is concerned, as far as I know, the deputy, Mr. Petrosyan said he has a health problem. I myself suffocate when I wear a mask under headlights and take advantage of the opportunity to speak without a face mask whenever possible.”
