There is no need to worry about internal security at this moment. This is what Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan told reporters after today’s government session.

“The public administration system and the security system are operating efficiently. Of course, there have been certain attempts and actions, but they have been completely neutralized. In this regard, we are at ease. The only thing to worry about now is the coronavirus situation. It is the only thing that poses a threat,” he said.

When told there is an opinion that the recent dismissals of representatives of power structures are linked to the risk of a coup, the political opposition was mobilizing and the Prime Minister didn’t trust the ex-officials, Armen Grigoryan said the following: “The mobilization of the opposition has nothing to do with this. The current criminal cases were the only reason for the mobilization of certain members of the opposition.”
