We will consider the issue of applying to the Constitutional Court. There is a tool, but Prosperous Armenia Party doesn’t have enough mandates to do that, and it hasn’t held talks with the MPs of Bright Armenia Party yet. This is what deputy of the Prosperous Armenia faction of the National Assembly Naira Zohrabyan told reporters today.
When asked why she thinks the authorities are rushing to solve the issue related to the Constitutional Court, Zohrabyan said the following: “The authorities have laid the foundation for political repressions. Today the National Security Service issued a statement that was like an action movie, calling on citizens of Armenia to provide the Service with any information about Prosperous Armenia Party distributing electoral bribes during the parliamentary elections. However, in response to my question in parliament, the Prosecutor General assured me that there are more than enough facts. This all started when Gagik Tsarukyan expressed rather correct and balanced concerns during the special session of the political party,” Naira Zohrabyan said.
