During the session of the Council of Elders of Yerevan, member of the My Step faction Nuard Vardanyan declared that her maternal uncle had died from COVID-19 and called on everyone, including politicians to show a high level of social responsibility.

“If Tehmine Vardanyan has a maternal uncle, I wish him health,” Nuard Vardanyan added.

During the session, Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan ordered to switch off Luys faction member Tehmine Vardanyan’s microphone since she had refused to speak with a face mask. According to Vardanyan, maintaining social distancing can fully serve as a ground to refuse to wear a face mask.
