If the adversary’s unmanned aerial vehicle is in the zone of visibility detection of our device, striking it will no longer be a problem. This is what Chief of the Staff of Air Defense Units-Deputy Head of Department of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Colonel Garik Movsisyan told reporters today.

“During the Four-Day Artsakh War, we had a problem because such resources were being used for the first time in the history of Armenia, and there hadn’t been good calculations. After the war, we drew conclusions, prepared the troops for this and improved efforts to detect any flying object that had a target. We have upgraded our systems and obtained new devices. If the unmanned aerial vehicle is in the zone of visibility detection of our device, and we lead intelligence in different ways, striking it won’t be a problem anymore,” he said, adding that the Hermes 900 UAV was struck as a result of right tactics.

According to the Colonel, UAVs made in Armenia are no different from the ones made in Israel and are even more improved in terms of visibility.
