- As of Thursday morning, 229 new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in Armenia, and the total number of cases has reached 41,023 in the country.
Three people have died of COVID-19 in the past one day, and the overall respective death toll is 809 now.
The total number of people recovered so far is 33,897, and the number of people currently being treated is 6,079.
- Armenia continues to “lead” the region in the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths per one million people, as per Worldometers.
Accordingly, as of Wednesday, the number of cases per one million people was 13,764, and the number of deaths—272 in the country.
In line with the data per one million people, the respective “picture” in the region is as follows: Armenia ranks first with 13,764 people, Russia is second, Iran is third, Azerbaijan is fourth, Turkey is fifth.
Also, Armenia is followed by Iran, Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia in the number of deaths per one million people.
