YEREVAN. – Journalists were not barred from entering the meeting of the Yerevan State University (YSU) Board of Trustees. Zhanna Andreasyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, on Tuesday stated this in a conversation with journalists in front of YSU.

Earlier it was reported that journalists were not allowed to attend the meeting.

But according to the deputy minister, taking into account the current coronavirus-related state of emergency and the respective restrictions in Armenia, the journalists were offered two options in terms of covering the aforesaid meeting: to install their video cameras at the venue of this meeting and carry out a live broadcast, or to do it through any one media outlet and then provide it to the others. "[But] we received a response that no proposal is acceptable," Andreasyan said.

She added that the YSU press service has video recorded this meeting and this vides will be available on the university website.
