Rescuers have pulled out three persons from the rubble, but one of them has died, and 19 others were evacuated.

The two injured were hospitalized. Doctors say one of them is in moderate condition, whereas the other is in critical condition.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Minister of Emergency Situations Feliks Tsolakyan were also at the scene.

  • As of 11am on Wednesday, 131 new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in Armenia, and the total number of cases has reached 43,067.

Also, three more deaths from COVID-19 were registered, making the respective total 861 cases.

The number of people who have recovered over the past one day is 252, the total number of people who have recovered so far is 36,727.

A total of 1,696 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Armenia over the past one day, and 198,569 tests have been performed to date.

  • The Yerevan court of general jurisdiction, chaired by Judge Artur Mkrtchyan, denied the motion of the attorneys of former Minister of Finance and ex-Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia Gagik Khachatryan and his nephew Karen Khachatryan, former head of the SRC Internal Security Department for the recusal of prosecutor Gevorg Sargsyan.

Gagik Khachatryan was not attending the first court hearing due to health problems and has applied to the court to continue the court hearing in his absence.

He has been charged under the Criminal Code articles on abuse of power, embezzlement or squandering, taking bribe, and official fraud.

And Karen Khachatryan has been charged under the Criminal Code articles on embezzlement or squandering, and official fraud.

Both are under arrest.

They discussed regional developments following the July battles and within that context, the situation unfolded around the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.

Minister Mnatsakanyan emphasized the importance of the Armenian-Russian cooperation aimed at maintaining regional peace, stability, and security.

The exchange rate for one euro was AMD 575.69 (up by AMD 1.19), that of one UK pound totaled AMD 640.48 (up by AMD 3.52), and the rate of one Russian ruble made up AMD 6.43 (down by AMD 0.07) in the country.
