Populism hinders the Armenian authorities in making decisions. Second President Robert Kocharyan stated this during a meeting with economic journalists.
"I have always said: Respect professional knowledge, discuss issues with professionals; no need to make a show out of it. On the contrary, when waking up every day, a leader should say, I do not know much, I should consult with specialists.’ If he does not do that, if they think that they are academics of all sciences, then the country will have serious problems. I have the impression that this is the case," said the former president.
