There is a mass for which it is pleasing to hear and want to believe that they will take money from someone and give it to them. Second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan stated this during a meeting with economic journalists.

"No revolution in the world has taken from one and given to the other. If it has taken, then in the end it has pulverized it and no one got a share. It is just a populist formula that is used and, unfortunately, some of our people accept it as the truth. He convinces himself that it will happen—if not now, then tomorrow, the next day. By the way, this does not mean that one should not fight against corruption; of course, one has to fight," he said.

Kocharyan noted that very often the authorities confiscate money illegally. "The consequences of that will be very severe in the future. (…).

One day, these authorities will change and everyone will restore their rights in the courts. It’s just that, in the meantime, the property will be damaged, they will demand compensation—not only for the damage to the property, but also for the lost income over the years. Today, the [Armenian] halls of power are laying a landmine for the future of the country; this is a big problem," Robert Kocharyan said.
