YEREVAN. – A Doors Open Day was held Friday at Erebuni Airbase in Yerevan—and within the framework of the Army 2020 international technico-military forum.

"For the first time, a technico-military forum is being held outside the borders of Russia. It is held in Armenia, reflecting the fraternal, allied nature of relations based on historical traditions and the common strategic interests of our states in today's complex world. And, of course, it reflects the special atmosphere, the warm fraternal atmosphere which is typical of the relations between our two peoples," said Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin.

In his turn, Tigran Parvanyan, the commander of the Armenian-Russian joint military group, noted that the relations between Russia and Armenia are of special interest in the post-Soviet expanse.
