YEREVAN. – A group of Armenian citizens who wish to return to Russia are protesting in front of the National Assembly building.

One of the protesters said: "We do not have a home here, our families have remained in Russia. We are unable to return [to Russia] due to the coronavirus. We ask the ministers who are authorized to help us, let them help so that we go to our families. We have been here [in Armenia] for ten months already. (…). There are people here who left their wives and children in Russia, now they cannot join [them]. Can families be separated because of the coronavirus?"

Asked what they expected, the woman said that the FM and the coronavirus-related state of emergency commandant of Armenia should deal with their issue and find a solution.

Another demonstrator stated: "I do not see an opportunity to live here [in Armenia]. Let them do something to send us off [to Russia], even by buses. I have been here since March 10. (…), I can't find a job here."
