With 70 votes ‘in favor’ and 19 ‘against’, the National Assembly of Armenia voted in favor of the possibility of declaring a lockdown in the country in the second and final reading, as reported Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The bill states that, upon the recommendation of the authorized state body in the healthcare sector, a regional governor or mayor can declare a lockdown in the relevant administrative-territorial department in case of outbreak or spread of infectious diseases and emergency situations.
