Three new deaths from alcohol poisoning have been reported in Armenia, the health ministry reported.

From August 31 to September 5, 46 cases of alcohol poisoning - methanol - were reported in Armenia, of which 17 were fatal, and 16 patients were discharged from the hospital after receiving medical assistance.

Currently, 13 patients are receiving treatment in various medical institutions in Armenia.

Cases of alcohol poisoning were reported in the Armavir province and Yerevan. As a result of an epidemiological study, it turned out that the source of poisoning of the victims in the Armavir province was the use of non-factory-made vodka. Most of the victims in Yerevan used medical alcohol as a substitute for vodka.
