YEREVAN. – The court session on the case of Ara Babloyan, former speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, and Arsen Babayan, former Deputy Chief of Staff of the NA, has resumed Monday.

According to the indictment, Babloyan, as the NA speaker in 2018, had abused his official powers, which negligently caused grave consequences, and committed official fraud.

According to the indictment, Babayan, as acting Deputy Chief of Staff of the NA on March 5, 2018, had assisted then-NA speaker Ara Babloyan and several other officials in abusing their official powers, which negligently caused grave consequences, and committed official fraud.

Both Ara Babloyan and Arsen Babayan have been charged.
