If necessary, we will petition to the CSTO. Alen Simonyan, deputy speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, said this in a talk with reporters Tuesday, and referring to the strikes which the Azerbaijani armed forces have carried out on Davit Bek village of Syunik Province.
"Now, the partnership relations shown by the Russian Federation and those contractual obligations that we have fully satisfy the Republic of Armenia as a party," Simonyan added.
To the question whether Armenia has any constraints in petitioning to the CSTO, Simonyan said. "Time should have shown that our actions and statements do not contain any constraints. When it comes to the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)], there can be no constraints.”
And to the question whether Russia assists Armenia when Azerbaijan opened fire on Davit Bek, Alen Simonyan said: "Know that everything that is happening with our allied relations is more than enough, and the Armenian side is fully satisfied with everything that is happening today, for which I thank the Russian Federation and personally Russian President Vladimir Putin."
