YEREVAN. – The US role and engagement in the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) issue has been very active. Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan stated this in a talk with journalists in the National Assembly of Armenia Thursday, when asked whether Armenia expects that the role of the White House in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict may change after the US presidential election.
"I have the opportunity to say that this activeness will continue. No matter what, we are confident that our work with the US—as a Co-Chair [of the OSCE Minsk Group]—will continue. Their role will be as active as that of Russia and France [the other two Co-Chairs]," Mnatsakanyan said, noting that the Co-Chairs' engagement—in finding a resolution to the Karabakh conflict—starts at a very high level.
